So honestly I have been putting off writing because I don't really know how to start. So I'm just going to write about the weekend and stuff coming up.
We have been on voluntary overtime since somewhere around the 4th of July. Which if you know me I have been working as much of it as I can because I know that it won't last forever. So Friday I worked late.
Saturday: I dropped Newt off at her Auntie Jessica's at 5:50 am and went to work. I worked until about 8:30 and then went to the Farmer's Market and then over to watch the Oktoberfest Parade with Jessica and her mom. After the parade we went to the Oktoberfest where Newt got lots of attention from everyone I walked past. We finally left and went home to find out that Brad had shot a deer in the morning. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time he actually shot a deer so hopefully this will help him get back on track with his hunting MOJO.
Sunday: Got up and started getting things together and sorted to clean the whole kitchen...top to bottom, when I receive a phone call from Brad that he has shot another deer and he is on his way home. So I made breakfast burritos for us. Then helped with the deer for a little bit then I went back to work on the kitchen where after about 10 minutes I got kicked out so Brad could cut and wrap all the meat. So I spent some time with the puppies. I offered to run to Cabela's to get some jerky seasoning. So off Newt and I went so Brad didn't have to worry about her running around and getting into something since he couldn't watch her every second. Got home and decided that Brad was going to have to share the kitchen so I sat at the table and chopped stuff to make a batch of salsa. So I canned 5 pints of Salsa last night. We made dinner...fresh deer steaks, asparagus and garlic parmesan shells. After dinner we were sitting watching TV when I see Newt get up, go to the door, sit down and look up. So Brad jumps up and takes her outside where she relieves herself and comes back inside...this is a 10 week old puppy. She totally made my night! After that she came in and played for a little while and then she went to her kennel and went to sleep inside. A Double bonus for the night.
Monday: Today has been a little crazy, my mind has been all over the place. I realized that in 1 week Brad's Dad will be here and they will leave for Elk Camp on Wednesday. I will then be leaving for Nationals Wednesday night. I have so much to do...I'm not exactly sure how it's all going to get done. On top of everything I'm starting to not feel well. So I will keep my fingers crossed that I'm not getting sick.
